We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Project Manager/Estimator to oversee and estimate projects involving low voltage systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring accurate estimates, on-time delivery, and budget compliance. This role requires strong technical knowledge in low voltage systems such as structured cabling, security systems, access control, CCTV, A/V, and fire alarm.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating Duties:
· Review project specifications, drawings, and scope documents to develop detailed cost estimates.
· Perform accurate takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment.
· Solicit and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotes.
· Prepare and present comprehensive bid packages and proposals.
· Maintain and update estimating databases and pricing.
Project Management Duties:
· Plan, schedule, and manage low voltage projects from award to completion.
· Coordinate with clients, general contractors, and internal teams.
· Ensure projects meet deadlines, budget targets, and quality standards.
· Track project progress, identify risks, and resolve issues proactively.
· Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
· Lead project meetings and maintain strong client relationships.
· Supervise field technicians and subcontractors as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Proven experience in low voltage systems (3–5+ years preferred).
· Solid understanding of construction documents and blueprints.
· Strong estimating and project budgeting skills.
· Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
· Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Accubid, ConEst) and MS Office Suite.
· Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
· NICET certification, BICSI certification, or other relevant credentials.
· OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
· Experience with design-build projects is a plus.
· Knowledge of local and national low voltage codes and standards.
Working Conditions:
· Primarily office-based with regular site visits as needed.
· Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and walk construction sites.
· Travel to project locations may be required.
